More About Ashgate's Philosophy List

Following the inauguration of the Obama administration, interest has soared in Ayn Rand’s classic novel Atlas Shrugged. The definitive collection of critical essays on Rand’s masterpiece, Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged: A Philosophical and Literary Companion is available online at only £13.50.

A further highlight in the Philosophy list at the moment is The Philosophy of Public Health. Lawrence Gostin at Georgetown University, USA describes the book as 'a much needed introduction to some of the relevant philosophical concepts and arguments that might be used to build a philosophy of public health. Consisting of both theoretical contributions and case studies this multidisciplinary collection of essays will both inform and generate debate among academics, policy makers and practitioners about these important issues in public health.'

More historical issues are taken up with the volumes published in our series Ashgate Studies in Medieval Philosophy. Click here for a list of the books in the series, including Topics in Latin Philosophy.

Finally, take a look at our landmark series Kierkegaard Research: Sources, Reception, Resources – an ambitious research project edited by Jon Stewart of the Søren Kierkegaard Research Centre at Copenhagen University.

The above selection gives just a flavour of the breadth and depth of our Philosophy programme. If you would like to be kept informed about developments and special offers, why not sign up for our regular email updates.
