More About Ashgate's Human Factors List

Ashgate’s Human Factors list is renowned within the field for its range and depth of quality. Since publishing the seminal Human Factors in Flight by Frank Hawkins in 1987, our list of authors has read almost as a ‘who’s who’ of this exciting and extremely significant field of research. Please browse our range online or download the latest catalogue to see what we have to offer. To make sure you are fully up to date with our new publications, you can sign up to receive email updates which will alert you to new human factors titles as they are published.

Our collection of titles and series can be seen to represent the evolution of human factors (HF) from its origins in aviation to other high-consequence environments, with publications dedicated to road and rail transport, defence, healthcare, mining, offshore drilling and shipping. Additionally, the Ashgate Studies in Resilience Engineering series continues to chart the development and applications of this significant safety movement, while the new Human Factors of Simulation and Assessment series will deliver knowledge and practical experience to the many researchers using simulators and carrying out field assessments to evaluate human performance.

We will continue to expand the range of publications and offer high-quality works from the forefront of HF research and applied psychology. New book proposals are always welcome, but we are particularly seeking those relevant to the topics of HCI, safety culture, nuclear power and patient safety. If you have an idea for a new book that you would like to discuss with us, please contact the Publisher, Guy Loft.
