Returns Policy
Please note that Ashgate Publishing has a clear policy on the
return of our books. To ensure a swift response to your returns
request, please read through the returns conditions below and
ensure that these conditions are met, or your return will not be
authorised (note, these conditions do not apply for customers
in North or South America).
- All returns requests must be sent in writing to our
distributor, Bookpoint at the following address:

- We will only accept back titles for return, one
year from the date of the original invoice. Titles outside
this period will be marked “Too Old” and will not be accepted back
for credit. Failure to produce an invoice number on your returns
request will result in your returns request being sent back to
you.
- We do not accept returns of “Out of Print” books.
- All returns must be received in mint
condition. Damaged returns will not be
credited.
- All authorised returns must be sent back to our distributor,
Bookpoint Ltd, quoting the
relevant “Authorised Returns Note Number”. Failure to quote a
valid ARN number will result in no credit being raised and the
book(s) will not be sent back to you.

- Any unauthorised returns will not be credited, and the book(s)
will not be sent back to you.
- Ashgate Publishing will not accept responsibility for
any carriage costs, and in the event of a query,
proof of delivery may be required.
We must stress that failure to comply with our terms and
conditions for return will either result in your request being
denied or delayed. Chasing returns requests that do not carry the
correct information will not speed up your request for
authorisation.
